Header options
The creation of a batch is triggered by a Message Count or an Interval. All of the header fields are required in the final message. You can leave them blank on the screen, as they are set and overridden with DRIVERCONTROL in each message.

Authorization Information |
Information used for additional identification or authorization of the interchange. The sender or the data in the interchange. The type of information is set by the Authorization Information Qualifier. This is alphanumeric text up to 10 characters. |
Security Information Qualifier |
Code identifying the type of information in the Security Information. 00: No Security Information Present. No Meaningful Information in I04. 01: Password |
Security Information |
This is used for identifying the security information about the interchange sender or the data in the interchange. The type of information is set by the Security Information Qualifier. This is alphanumeric text up to 10 characters. |
Sender ID/Sender ID Qualifier | See Sender ID Qualifier. |
Receiver ID/Receiver ID Qualifier | See Receiver ID Qualifier. |
Standards Identifier |
Code to identify the Agency responsible for the control standard used by the message that is enclosed by the interchange header and trailer. |

Code indicating sender's request for an interchange acknowledgment. 0: No Interchange Acknowledgment Requested 1: Interchange Acknowledgment Requested (TA1) |

Functional ID Code | See Functional ID Code. |
Application Sender's Code |
Code identifying party sending transmission. Codes agreed to by trading partners. The maximum length of this string is 15, and the minimum is 2. |
Application Receiver's Code |
Code identifying party receiving transmission. Codes agreed to by trading partners. The maximum length of this string is 15, and the minimum is 2. |
Group Control Number |
Assigned number originated and maintained by the sender. The maximum length of this number is 9 and the minimum is 1. |
Agency Code |
Code identifying the issuer of the standard. This code is used in conjunction with Data Element 480. T: Transportation Data Coordinating Committee (TDCC) X: Accredited Standards Committee X12 |
Version/Release/Industry Identifier Code |
Code indicating the version, release, sub release, and industry identifier of the EDI. Standard being used, including the GS and GE segments. |
